A learners' initiative on entrepreneurship & sustainable living on 21st December 2024 at Sec 128, Noida
What is Mannan?
Mannan/मनन is a Hindi word that primarily means "contemplation"
Mannan, our annual festival on sustainability, is more than just a gathering; it's a celebration of ideas, a playground for innovation, and a testament to the power of community. This annual event brings together like-minded individuals to explore, experiment, and exchange ideas on setting up small ventures with sustainable products and consuming while keeping planet in mind.

Sustainability—a buzzword often tossed around but rarely truly embodied.
While many pay lip service to eco-conscious living, few truly translate words into action. Mannan, however, is not just another event; it’s a movement. This annual festival, held in the heart of Noida, brings together like-minded individuals who are not merely discussing sustainability, but actively driving it.
Mannan is a platform that champions ‘entrepreneurship’. It fosters a culture of innovation and creativity, encouraging participants to present their ideas or small-scale innovations for validation with the community.
By providing a supportive environment, Mannan empowers individuals to turn their ideas into reality, creating a positive impact on society. The event promotes micro-enterprises with eco-friendly practices and socially responsible business models ensuring a sustainable future for all.
In the past, Mannan has hosted workshops on rainwater harvesting, terrace farming, clay modelling, nest making, composting, conscious eating etc. We had sustainable brands like Earthy Grains, Gourmet Medleys, Sattva Pure etc. which was source for inspiration for a lot of participants. In its last edition, Mannan hosted workshop on Millet-based Cooking as a healthy and sustainable dietary choice by Beejom Farms.
Mannan is not just about promoting enterprises, it's also a celebration of culture and creativity. The event provides a platform for learners, parents and visitors to engage with a vibrant mix of music, dance, and art, local craft and perform freely.
Through this collegial expression, Mannan fosters a sense of belonging and unity among participants. Last year, Manzil Mystics and Prakriti’s own band performed to the audience together with solo and group classical dance performances.

Last year me along with my friends set a a game counter the props of which were made from recycled materials to prove the point that the things that you consider as waste can also with a little creative thinking can be utilized to make useful products. Mannan for me is a campaign of sustainability that promotes innovation and creative thinking.
